Glover Park Concert Series-Where to EAT!

We love this time of year, the flowers are blooming, the weather is warming up and fun times are right around the corner at the Glover Park Concert Series, held the last Friday of each month April thru September.  So you check off your concert gear list- blankets, fold-able chairs, cooler full of cold beers/wine…hmmm now where to get some food to munch on during the show, don’t fret we’ve got some tasty ideas for you!

Marietta Wine Market

If you like to nosh on delicious cheeses, gourmet meats, and unique dips with crackers…then definitely stop in here before the concert and pick up a few things to fill your picnic basket.  Be sure and ask Randall for a nice bottle of Rose’ that will pair perfect with your food selections and also the warmer weather.

Sugar Cakes Patisserie 

You’ve probably been there for breakfast or lunch and if you haven’t, you are missing some of the best food on the square.  What you may not know is that Sugar Cakes serves dinner on Friday and Saturday, with white tablecloths and a nice selection of wine and beer as well.  The food quality is superb with many items to choose from including a ribeye steak, seafood risotto and crab cakes.  If you have a sweet tooth, they really have you covered with delectable desserts such as tropical coconut cake and tiramisu, mmm!  Call early and reserve a sidewalk table, so you can enjoy the music and exquisite cuisine too.

Marietta Pizza Company

If you are bringing a large family to enjoy the concert, then this should be your go-to spot for pizza, wings and sub sandwiches to satisfy any appetite.  The pizzas are huge and offer many different types to include- The Works, think all the meats- The Vegi- and BBQ chicken pizza.  They have a nice selection of local craft beers and plenty of outdoor seating, so you can eat and get your groove on to the music.

Tiny Bubbles Tea Bar

Come see why there is usually a big line for these fun and tasty drinks!  They specialize in Bubble tea which has chewy tapioca pearls or fruity pearls that burst in your mouth, but either way it’s delicious!  The award winning French Macarons are sweet, light and delicate and they have vegan cupcakes that are to die for…yes you read that right, delicious vegan cupcakes!  Be sure and pick up some sweet treats to enjoy during the concert.  They have another location in Woodstock and will have a kiosk in the soon to be opening Marietta Square Market.
