Marietta Mardi Gras 5k and More!

Come join us for the Marietta Mardi Gras 5k Fun Run + Walk is a major fundraiser for the Junior League of Cobb-Marietta, a 501(c)(3) non-profit developing the potential of women and improving the Cobb County community through the leadership of trained volunteers. Marietta Square Art Walk is March 1st and is a free self-guided walking tour that celebrates the vitality of Marietta’s diverse cultural Arts scene, showcasing local artists and performers along sidewalks throughout Downtown Marietta.  The evening comes alive as performance, dance, and visual art permeate every corner of the charming Historic Marietta Square.   Grab a drink at one of many local restaurants and stroll around, enjoying late night shopping at the many one-of-a-kind boutiques and check out how art really adds to the culture of our gem city.  http://www.artwalkmarietta.com/

The Strand will screen the 1964 classic on the big screen on March 8th, starring the incomparable Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke, Mary Poppins is a modern fairy tale celebrated for its amazing special effects, catchy songs, and Julie Andrews’s legendary performance in the title role.  Tickets are $9 for adults and $8 for seniors, students, and military.
